The FLUID WOOD is an art installation project for the luxurious residence project in Surat, in collaboration with Architect Jaymin Sheladia of I-Con Architects & Urban Planners based in Surat. The project brief was to design an art installation in 40 Feet tall courtyard, which brings light to the whole house creating intrigued play of light and shadow. Hence, This we took as a concept to design this installation of rippled water surface creating wavy and fluid effect letting the ey follow the joy of their rhythm, while the material playing the role of rigid contrasting to emphasize the soft atmosphere. The whole installation design through computation and coding and executed through digital fabrication techniques while focusing on details to create the seamless surface throughout the courtyard, creating intrigued play of light and shadows.
