GLOBAL SUMMER SCHOOL 2019

In India, the Construction sector will remain buoyant due to increased demand from real estate and infrastructure projects. On the other hand, the construction industry is one of the least automated industries that feature manual-intensive labor as a primary source of productivity. 

The Global Summer School 2019 India node aims to establish a manifesto to make architects, designers, and engineers as innovators and change agents in the construction industry. By way of introducing robotics and automation in construction, and focus on revolutionizing technology and processes to address real-world problems and provide innovative solutions that are optimized and sustainable.

Global Summer School 2019 (GSS2019) is a full-time two weeks course that provides both practical and theoretical knowledge.  GSS2019 is organized by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Spain, and D3LAB, India in collaboration with the Department of Digital Architecture at Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture Campus, Pune, India. Global summer school Program is a distributed education program around the world allowing a decentralized expansion of knowledge. Hence, GSS2019 taking place simultaneously in more than 15 different Nodes – cities around the world: Barcelona, New York City, Hong Kong, Pune, Moscow, Tehran, Melbourne, Beirut, Budapest, Shanghai, Quito and more. 

The program is led by Chirag Rangholia Organiser of the GSS2019 – India Node, Kunaljit Singh Chadha – Robotic Expert from IAAC, Spain, Deva Prasad – Robotic Expert and Swapnil Gawande – Computational expert from BNCA, India. Combined with lectures by renowned professionals and academics relevant to the topics to be treated during the course.
